There is no question that B.C.Conservative MLA Gavin Dew is on the Sandher payroll. Ex-MP Tracy Gray was hugely tarnished by association. Husband Larry and her ties to B.C.Conservatives are extensive. Larry Gray was Gavin Dew’s campaign manager.

The Sandhers were Canada's largest fentanyl producers.

There's the 'tar baby syndrome'. Touch somebody dirty and it rubs off. Its possible Gray's ties to Dew is the reason she's gone as MP.

Costa Rican linked to Sinaloa Cartel faces U.S. money laundering charges

Elías Alberto Quirós Benavides, 53, faces serious allegations from the United States for his role in Sinaloa Cartel financial operations. U.S. cops accuse him of leading a sophisticated cryptocurrency-based money laundering network, transferring cartel funds internationally. The DOJ charged Quirós Benavides with conspiracy to commit money laundering, alongside other individuals linked to Mexican cartels and narcoterrorism. Quirós Benavides used virtual currencies to obscure the flow of drug money. Seized assets included luxury vehicles, jet skis, real estate and high-value items, though Quirós Benavides remains on the run. When captured, he could be sent to the U.S. to face charges. Costa Rica currently doesn't extradite citizens. That may soon change. Quirós Benavides was nailed with Pedro Inzunza.

Carfentanil on the rise

Carfentanil is one of the deadliest fentanyl analogues. The drug closely resembles other substances like fentanyl or cocaine, but its danger far exceeds everything else on the street. Carfentanil was developed to tranquilize large animals like elephants. It is extremely potent, 100 times stronger than fentanyl. A nearly microscopic amount of carfentanil can be deadly. To increase profits, carfentanil is being mixed with other drugs or pressed into pills that look like prescription painkillers. The DEA recently issued an alert after an increased presence of carfentanil in the illicit drug market was detected. Treating a carfentanil overdose is extremely difficult. Naloxone isn't effective against carfentanil in normal doses. Even multiple, high doses of naloxone may not be enough. This space maintains a google alert for carfentanil, and stories are now appearing virtually daily. Buyer beware.

She resides in the Lower Mainland. Ovidio Guzmán López, 34, and Joaquin Guzmán López, 38, are cooperating with the US to avoid life sentences at Florence Admax. Joaquín Guzmán López forced Ismael Zambada García onto a plane bound for the US in July 2024. Ovidio Guzmán López will plead guilty in July to sprawling federal drug charges. They have flipped. These are serious storm clouds for the Sandhers, Edgar Watson-Olivarra, and the recently troubled Sami El-Helou.

Chapito Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar is widely recognized as the current leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. Top level Sinaloa cartel operative Edgar Watson-Olivarra is a key member of the Sandher drug operation and answers only to Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar. Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar was nearly captured on the night of Feb 19, 2025, the same operation that nailed 'El Güerito' and 'El 200'. Guzmán escaped through a tunnel and was injured. Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar is living in fear due to U.S. heat. Guzmán "no longer sleeps" and is "betraying those closest to him, thinking they will betray him."

The Mexican government's offensive against his Sinaloa Cartel resulted in the arrest of two key henchmen. Canobbio Inzunza 'El Güerito' led fentanyl trafficking. El Güerito was arrested in the city of Culiacán. He was the right hand of Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar.

The U.S. designated the Sinaloa Cartel a terrorist organization. Canada designated the Sinaloa Cartel a terrorist organization February 20. Anybody doing business with Edgar Watson and Sami El-Helou stands to be extradited to America.

Sinaloa Cartel thugs are being extradited. Former leader of the Sinaloa drug cartel in Juárez was extradited to El Paso from Mexico. Daniel Franco Lopez, 40, 'Neon' was one of the leaders of the Gente Nueva, in Chihuahua. Top Sinaloa cartel operative Edgar Watson-Olivarra met with the Sandher crime family again the week of August 21, 2024 in Kelowna. The thug is senior management and directly responsible for Sinaloa Cartel operations and multiple drug labs in B.C. When disputes arise, it is Edgar Watson who resolves them, often using murder.

Edgar Watson is a former Mexican Marine. He learned combat helicopter flying with the Marines. Watson tipped off drug raids for bribes that often exceeded a year’s salary. Watson soon worked for the Sinaloa Cartel full-time. As well as being a cartel pilot, Edgar Watson was also an enforcer/sicario. He protected cartel bosses and their lieutenants from enemies. His loyalty to the cartel paid off. He was brought into Canada to manage Sinaloa affairs. Watson oversees much of Canada. When he sets foot in Canada he is the most senior Sinaloa gangster in the country.

Sandher helicopter pilots were Sinaloa Cartel operatives, brought to work as drug runners for the Sandhers under the Agricultural Stream Program. Edgar Watson was nearly busted with the Sandher brothers in 2018 in 'Operation Valley Cloak'. The Sandhers have abused visa entry programs to import Sinaola Cartel gangsters into Canada for years.

The other Sinaloa Cartel pilot was Roman Figueroa Ramirez.

Key financial intermediary is Moscow based Sami El-Helou. Gurtaj Sandher and Edgar Watson are closely linked to Sami El-Helou. The trio are tied to Sinaloa Cartel drug business at the highest levels in Canada.

US accuses Pedro Inzunza Noriega, son, and other Sinaloa Cartel leaders of narcoterrorism

The U.S. Department of Justice has unsealed an indictment against leaders of the Sinaloa Cartel for narcoterrorism in federal court in San Diego. Charges against Pedro Inzunza Noriega and his son, Pedro Inzunza Coronel, for trafficking tons of cocaine, heroin, meth, and fentanyl into the United States as part of their operations leading the Beltrán Leyva faction of the Sinaloa Cartel. They're key leaders of the BLO, a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel believed to be the world's largest fentanyl producers. This is the first indictment for terrorism and narcoterrorism since Mexican cartels were designated as international terrorist organizations.

Since its inception, the Beltran Leyva faction is considered one of the most violent drug trafficking organizations in Mexico. The BLO controls numerous territories and plazas throughout Mexico – including Tijuana – and operates with violent impunity. On December 3, 2024, Mexican cops raided multiple locations in Sinaloa controlled and managed by the father and son and seized 1,500 kilograms (more than 1.65 tons) of fentanyl – the largest seizure of fentanyl in the world. Those charged face life in jail.The U.S. is looking for both men.

The Sandher crime family should be getting EXTREMELY worried. Its only a matter of time before the Americans come for them.

Ovidio Guzmán’s mother and 16 relatives enter US

17 relatives of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán entered the U.S. on May 9 through the San Ysidro border crossing between Tijuana and San Diego. Among the group is Griselda López Pérez, who became El Chapo’s second wife in the 1980s and had four children with him, including Ovidio 'El Ratón' Guzmán, and Joaquín 'El Güero Moreno' Guzmán López. The latter was responsible for the arrest of Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada on July 25, 2024, in New Mexico — an event that marked the beginning of an open war between Los Chapitos and Los Mayos that continues to this day. On May 6th Ovidio Guzmán revealed he will plead guilty to drug trafficking.

The latest appears part of his plea deal. Its said there was at least one sniper overseeing the family’s crossing, and that they were granted permanent residency by U.S. authorities on arrival.

NZ HA Brandon Cole pleads guilty to 450kg meth

It started with a tip from the Australian Border Force in August 2021. 556kg of meth was found in a rotary separator airfreighted from the Philippines. Had New Zealand cops seen anything similar? Indeed they had. Customs discovered that a nearly identical shipment from the same exporter had entered New Zealand two months earlier. It was too late to lasso the drugs, but cops were able to gather enough circumstantial evidence to bust Hells Angel Brandon St John Cole a year later.

Cole had not been discreet about the financial windfall that came his way. He bought a new Harley, purchased in September 2021 for $31,700 cash, he purchased a Ford Ranger SUV in July 2021 for $50,000. The previous owner was handed a brown paper bag with five bundles of $10,000 in rolled-up $50 notes. He changed the plates to read OGBOSS. Cops traced $877,640 that was laundered by giving cash to linked businesses. The clever Cole had signed a lease to rent a factory in June 2021, seven days before the meth arrived there. He left $10,000 cash in the shipping agent’s mailbox to pay taxes and duty.

Cops didn't state in court documents how much the meth was worth. The wholesale rate for a kilo of meth in NZ is anywhere from $160k to $200k. If sold for the lowest rate, the 450kg would have generated $72 million. In July 2022, police executed a search warrant at a storage unit rented by Cole. They found $2.4 million. An additional $49,950 cash was found at his home. Cole had nothing to say when busted. But police found a written note in his wallet recording the importation details and his alias John Adams. Cole was remanded in custody to await sentencing in November.

Cops bust meth lab in Quebec; seize 2.5 million pills

A clandestine drug lab was found inside a black trailer in a hidden room inside a warehouse in Bromont, Que., about 80km east of Montreal. Cops also seized nearly nine pounds of crystal meth, as well as large quantities of chemicals and excipients. Searches also found a pill press, sophisticated equipment for the production of meth, and $3,600 in cash. This is the 3rd large clandestine meth lab bust in Quebec in recent months. Cops busted labs in Lanaudière and Montérégie in March, and another inside a residential garage in the Laurentians in February.

HA Craig 'Truck' McIlquham whacked in Burlington

HA Craig McIlquham, 55, who was at the center of high-profile gambling bust Project Hobart in 2019, was shot and killed outside a restaurant in Burlington on the evening of April 29.  McIlquham was the president of the Hells Angels Niagara chapter.

McIlquham and Robert Barletta were the ringleaders of the $131m gambling operation. Both men faced multiple charges, including bookmaking, firearms, and committing crimes for the benefit of a criminal organization. Barletta also faced charges related to tax evasion. The case collapsed in 2022 because the trial would have taken 42 months to complete, exceeding the 30-month limit.

Ties between the Hells Angels and the ’Ndrangheta, particularly in Ontario and Quebec are strong. It’s believed they collaborate in areas of mutual interest, including illegal gambling, drug trafficking, and money laundering.
