The Stewmaker - El Pozolero

Santiago Meza López, 'El Pozolero', will remain in prison. Meza was told he was being denied freedom because he has yet to be sentenced for more crimes. Pozole is a Mexican stew made with hominy, chicken, pork and vegetables.
El Pozolero confessed to earning $600 per week to submerge cadavers in a tub filled with acid and sodium hydroxide while 'stirring' the bodies for 8 hours until everything but the teeth, nails and some bone fragments dissolved. Meza said whatever remained would be burned before being buried in an empty lot on his property.
Santiago Meza Lopez, aka El Pozolero or The Stewmaker, confessed to helping the Sinaloa Cartel dissolve countless bodies in acid in order to make them disappear. The Stewmaker was first captured in 2009, and was sentenced to a decade in prison in 2012. He is set to be released. He was known to work across 10 locations in Tijuana. He spent years dissolving bodies, and at some point even constructed a drainage system to dispose of the waste.

Tens of thousands of bone fragments — the Stewmaker's leftovers — were uncovered by cops.
The Chicken Coop farm near the US border in Tijuana contained the remains of at least 240 people. The actual number is much higher ... 'Of the 16,500 litres of organic material, the Federal Attorney General's Office said that there could be up to 650 bodies.'
After his arrest Meza Lopez told how he disposed of the bodies and that he was paid $2400 per month for his work.

Sergio Piccirilli has balls - out and about

The Parole Board of Canada granted release to Sergio Piccirilli, 62, but decided he is not ready for full parole. Piccirilli has close ties to the Hells Angels — including childhood friend Salvatore Cazzetta. He is serving a sentence of nine years and nine months that he received in May 2016 after his conviction on charges including gangsterism; conspiracy to possess drugs with the intent to traffic; instructing a criminal offence for an organized crime group; conspiring to import and export controlled substances; and offences related to firearms. Piccirilli will reach his statutory release date in November.

On October 4, 2019, Piccirilli was the target of an attempted murder by poisoning at the Drummondville penitentiary. As with other things Piccirilli takes it in stride.

"This guy has balls," said mobster Francesco Arcadi, with cops listening, after Piccirilli entered the Sicilian headquarters, the bar Consenza and drew a gun. Later, RCMP visited Piccirilli to warn him that a contract had been put on his head. "What can I do to help you? the cop asked. “Send me flowers,” Piccirilli replied. Piccirilli then called his ex, Sharon Simon, the Queen of Kanesatake, and asked her to bring him a machine gun.

The first narco sub in Europe

Agustín Álvarez, 31, was jailed for 11 years for piloting a narco sub with 3,068kg of cocaine worth an estimated €123m across the Atlantic. The 27 day, 3,500-mile journey from Brazil to Spain made headlines around the world when the vessel was scuttled in a Galician cove on 24 Nov 2019. The vessel’s arrival in Galicia was necessary as fuel ran out and two attempts to rendezvous with cartel boats off the coast failed. Álvarez and two Ecuadorians spent almost a month squeezed into a dank can behind three tonnes of cocaine and 20,000 litres of fuel. Food was energy bars, rice, biscuits and sardines; the toilet a plastic bag.
Cops found 152 bales of cocaine aboard the 20-metre submarine. Seven men went to trial in Spain accused of playing a role in the sailing. The cocaine was destined for the U.K. Its thought the narco sub cost well over $1m to build. Galicia’s inlets have long been a smuggler’s paradise but in recent years drug gangs have turned them into one of the main entry points for Colombian cocaine.

Fate of Hells Angel Sherbrooke bunker sealed

The land on which the Hells Angels bunker stood, demolished in June 2021, has been put up for sale. The owner, the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions, is asking $775k for the 29.54 acre lot located at 1575 rue Wellington Sud. The land is described as a guaranteed future investment, with "Magnificent forest, ideal for nature project."
After a decade of legal wrangling, the Quebec Court of Appeal ruled against the HA and for the confiscation of the building at 1575 Wellington St. South.

There is no further appeal.
The last bunker of the Hells Angels still standing in Quebec was confiscated in Sept 2017. The notorious clubhouse has been vacant since the 2009 SharQc Operation. NY Gangster scammers undone by social media photos

New York detectives noticed that members of Brooklyn’s Woo street gang were posting photos of themselves on social media from luxurious locations that weren't Brooklyn. Detectives were able to match the background of at least one of the homes with an Airbnb listing in California. Cops and federal agents combed through bank records, tracing various withdrawals that were financing the gangster's new lifestyles. They soon discovered that the gang used false names to file for benefits through a federal COVID relief program. 800 false identities filed nearly 1,000 unemployment claims, stealing at least $4.3 million.
Romean Brown, Tyrek Clarke, Kennith Desir, Stephan Dorminvil, Kai Heyward, Keith James, Oneal Marks, Jahriah Olivierre, Christopher Jean Pierre, Roleeke Smith, and Christopher Topey carried out the scheme between March 2020 and October 2021.
Arrests occured hours before the body of Woo gangster and rapper TDott Woo, 22, was borne past his Brooklyn home. He was shot dead on Feb. 1, the day he signed a recording contract with Million Dollar Music.
