Body scans revealed the objects in their hair. About 2 kilos of cocaine was recovered.

Two women were arrested in Colombia for trying to smuggle cocaine in their hair extensions. The women, who sported elaborate hairstyles, were busted at two separate airports.

UK drug queenpin Henna Ashraf busted

Henna Ashraf, 25, was a drug queenpin who ran her own 'county lines' drug operation, selling crack cocaine and heroin on Snapchat. The drug boss from Harborne, Birmingham, enjoyed being pampered, even coughing up £500 for a haircut. She enjoyed flashing her wealth on social media, posting photos of cash.

When cops investigated, Snapchat messages boasting about her life as a drug dealer emerged. Her elaborate lifestyle came crashing down when she was pulled over while driving her silver Mercedes down the M5 on December 9, 2020. Ashraf was convicted and will be sentenced on December 20. She faces an extended prison sentence.

Head Hunters versus Mongols in New Zealand

A feud between Auckland gangs boiled over into a shooting at the five-star Sofitel Viaduct Harbour. 19 gangsters now face serious charges. 7 of those busted are members of the Mongols, whose Kiwi presence has grown with the arrival of 501 deportees from Australia.

Six Head Hunters members and half a dozen associates have been charged. A senior Mongols member was shot in a strip club this spring. A Head Hunters clubhouse was then riddled with bullets and a garage firebombed. Its said the most recent violence resulted from a biker 'patching over' to a rival. Written on the wall of the Head Hunters’ clubhouse is a quote from The Godfather that says: “Real power can’t be given. It must be taken.”

Dublin mob boss Jeffrey Mitchell found dead

Mobster Jeffrey Mitchell, 49, was found dead in a Dublin hostel of a suspected heroin overdose. €50,000 worth of heroin was discovered. Mitchell was one of the most prolific heroin dealers in Dublin in the late 1990s and early 2000s. “He was probably tasting too much of his product. He got carried away on his own as he would be. He was one evil man. He was flooding Dublin with drugs before the Kinahans kicked in." said one. “He is no loss to society. He had over 70 convictions and is suspected of two murders." In his prime Mitchell was feared on the streets of Dublin.

Former Playboy model guilty of killing sugar daddy

Former Playboy model Kelsey Turner was accused of murdering California psychiatrist Thomas Burchard, 71, and stuffing his body in the trunk of a car after he stopped paying her rent. She has accepted a plea deal and a guilty verdict on a second-degree murder charge.

Turner and her boyfriend beat Burchard to death with a baseball bat, and stuffed his body into the trunk of her Mercedes Benz on a desert road in Nevada. Turner is facing 10 to 25 years in prison when she’s sentenced in January. Jon Logan Kennison pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to 18 to 45 years in prison.

Mongols, Outlaws clash in Chicago

On Nov. 6, four Outlaws and a member of the Mongol Nation MC were shot at a bar where the Mongols were celebrating a birthday. As many as 20 Outlaws walked into the bar at 5147 S. Archer Ave. looking for payback for a shooting last year, during a brawl with the Mongols in Berwyn. Most of the bikers who were shot Nov. 6 weren’t seriously injured, but an Outlaws member was left in critical condition after being shot in the chest. Bikers haven’t cooperated with cops and there are no arrests. Based in California, Mongols arrived in Chicago in the past few years, antagonizing Outlaws, who consider the city their turf.

Before the 2021 shooting in Berwyn, the Mongols paraded their motorcycles around the Outlaws’ South Side fortress in an act of provocation. The Outlaws and Mongols shared dislike for the Hells Angels helped them form a loose alliance at times. That is over in Chicago and cops expect more conflict. Though Mongols have been wearing their colours in Chicago, they apparently haven’t established a clubhouse in the city.

Ontario man Mikhail Vasiliev nailed for LockBit ransomware

Mikhail Vasiliev, 33, dual Russian and Canadian, has been arrested for the LockBit ransomware scam. Cops seized 8 computers, 32 external hard drives, and €400k in crypto. The DoJ unsealed a criminal complaint filed in the District of New Jersey charging Vasiliev with participating in LockBit’s attacks. "LockBit has been deployed against at least as many as 1,000 victims in the United States and around the world. LockBit members have made at least $100m in ransom demands and have extracted tens of millions of dollars in ransom payments from victims." The FBI has been investigating the LockBit conspiracy since March 2020.

When cops raided Mikhail Vasiliev’s home, 60 km north of Toronto, on Oct. 26, they found him sitting in the garage at a table with an open laptop. Police restrained him before he could lock the device. On the open laptop, police found a browser window with open tabs including one titled “LockBit LOGIN,” at a site hosted on a dark web domain. Vasiliev appeared in court in Barrie Thursday on the US extradition request, a hearing was adjourned for next week.

Vasiliev is the mastermind behind LockBit, a notorious extortion tool.

Charles 'Lucky' Luciano

Charles "Lucky" Luciano Nov 24, 1897 – Jan 26, 1962

Charles 'Lucky' Luciano is considered the father of modern organized crime in the US. He was the first official boss of the Genovese crime family. He, along with Meyer Lansky, were key players in the development of the National Crime Syndicate.

Prohibition was kind to Luciano and his partners. By 1925 they ran the largest bootlegging operation in New York and grossed $12m per year, a massive figure. In 1929 luciano was abducted at gunpoint, beaten, stabbed with an ice pick, had his throat slashed and was left for dead. He survived with a droopy eye and a nickname well earned.

In April 1931, Luciano and two other gang members, Albert Anastasia and Bugsy Siegel, murdered their leader, Joe Masseria. Six months later, with the help of Meyer Lansky, Luciano arranged the killing of Salvatore Maranzano. Luciano was now the most important criminal boss in New York. He joined with Louis Lepke Buchalter, Abe Reles and Albert Anastasia to form Murder Incorporated: executioners for hire.

Luciano was charged with prostitution and received 30 to 50 years in 1936. He maintained control of the syndicate during incarceration. In return for assisting the allies, Luciano was granted commutation and was deported to Italy where he resumed control over the US mob.

Unlike most of his peers, Luciano died of natural causes.

In 1962, he suffered a fatal heart attack in Naples airport. He was shipped back to the United States and buried in St. John's Cemetery in New York.

In 1998, Time named Luciano as the "criminal mastermind" among the top 20 most influential builders and titans of the 20th century.

HA affiliated bikers shoot rival off bike in South Carolina

The men are members of the Red Devils MC, primary support club of the HA. They were busted cold through video.

Four men, including three members of a Hells Angels affiliated motorcycle group, were arrested for the murder of another biker in front of a Lexington County Waffle House. Shane Andrzejewski, Joshua Allen Dutton, Casey Thomas Goodson and William Douglas McGathen Simpson were charged Nov. 8 with shooting and killing Timothy Harold Brock, 57, while he rode his motorcycle. The four men were each charged with with one count of murder, one count of conspiracy and seven counts of attempted murder.

The four men allegedly drove up to Brock on their motorcycles and opened fire. He was struck multiple times and died at the scene.

Colombian narco plane intercepted in Mexico

A Cessna 404 Titan was found loaded with more than a half ton of cocaine in the southeastern Mexico state of Campeche after it was detected illegally entering the country’s airspace. The narco plane was traveling from Colombia and was picked up by the country’s air surveillance system. Two Air Force jets and three helicopters were dispatched from a base along Mexico’s southern border and pursued the aircraft. The plane eventually landed in a field 49 miles east of the Campeche municipality of Miguel Hidalgo. 460 kilos of cocaine was recovered from the aircraft. Two suspects ran into dense bush and got away. Depending on air worthiness, a Cessna 404 Titan might be worth $400k.

Hushpuppi didn’t know $14.7m Malta bank heist was crime = 11 years

Ramon Abbas, known as Hushpuppi, has been jailed for more than 11 years and ordered to pay some $2.2m in compensation to his victims. Ghaleb Alaumary, 36, was also jailed for 11 years last year by a California court. Ramon Abbas told a U.S. court that he didn't know that his $14.7m Malta bank heist was a scam. He claimed he provided bank account information to “old friend”, Ghaleb Alaumary, who unknown to him, was a bank heist mastermind. Abbas said returning to Nigeria after his sentence would be problematic. His role in the indictment of Abba Kyari, Nigeria’s most-celebrated cop, has put him at grave risk of being harmed he says. Abbas's multinational conspiracy returned him millions between 2019 and 2020.

DoJ announce $3.36b cryptocurrency seizure, conviction

James 'Jimmy' Zhong, 32, pled guilty November 4, 2022 to committing wire fraud when he stole over 50,000 Bitcoin from the Silk Road dark web internet marketplace. On November 9, 2021, a search warrant of Zhong’s Gainesville, Georgia, home resulted in the seizure of 50,676.1785 Bitcoin, then valued at over $3.36b.

Cops found devices storing bitcoin in an underground floor safe and under blankets in a popcorn tin stashed in Zhong's bathroom closet. It is the largest cryptocurrency seizure in U.S. history.

Cops recovered over $800k in cash, tokens, and precious metals. Zhong was the CEO of self-created, JZ Capital LLC, which he registered in Georgia in 2014.

Zhong is looking at 20 years in jail when he is sentenced in February.

Peru citizens take to streets to remove Pedro Castillo

Thousands took to the streets of Lima to call for the resignation of President Pedro Castillo who is under six investigations for corruption. People marched on Saturday until riot police fired tear gas to stop them.

In his first 12 months in office, Castillo faced more than 50 cabinet changes, five fraud investigations, and two impeachment proceedings. Castillo calls those who oppose him “reactionaries” and “the enemies of people”. He took office in July 2021 and is serving a five-year term until 2026. He has denied all.

Sherbrooke Hells Angels Lenoxville clubhouse

The 29.54-acre lot on which the Sherbrooke Hells Angels' former clubhouse stood before it was demolished is up for sale again, this time for $1.9m. Last April, the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions sold the property for $775k. Dany Sévigny and René Roy are the owners. The value of the land located at 1575 Wellington Street South was assessed at $117,800. There are onerous building restrictions in place to prevent another bunker from being built. The fate of the lair of the Hells Angels Sherbrooke chapter was heard in Superior Court in Montreal after a multi-year legal ordeal.

In November 2015, the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DPCP) filed a motion for the forfeiture of the bunker and the land at 1575 Wellington Street South. In total, unpaid taxes to the city amounted to $43,909. Sherbrooke city wanted to recover those taxes.

Three members of the Hells Angels are shareholders of a company which was the owner: Guy Auclair, Georges Beaulieu and Richard Rousseau.
