Quebec supported greatly by suckers in Anglo Canada

Some provinces in Canada are defined as 'have' and are expected to pay equalization payments to those which are 'have not.' Based on this principle, Quebec surely must be a barren, toxic wasteland, ready to drop off the face of the earth without billions every single year in transfer payments from the rest of Canada. $13.2b this year in equalization payments, and that surely ain't enough as the cries only increase in frequency and pitch.
Federal politicos even have a nifty formula to insure fairness. "A province's Equalization payment in any given year is based on a weighted three year moving average, lagged by two years. For example, the actual payment for a province in 2013–2014 is the sum of 50% of its payment for 2011–2012, 25% of its payment for 2010–2011 and 25% of its payment for 2009–2010." Well that seems fair. 0, weighted and averaged is still zero. Billions, weighted and averaged, is, err, more billions. Whilst this open theft is going on, what happens if one displays a sign in English in Quebec? OMG, yer in chit now citizen. The language police will have you fined and/or arrested for being a heinous basterd.

Narco subs now built for long haul

Narco subs, purpose built for smuggling cocaine, have been evolving since they first appeared fifteen years ago. Narco-subs are described as low-tech, uncomfortable and hazardous, earning them the nickname water coffins. Rarely true submarines, narco-submarines are usually semisubmersibles that float mostly below the waterline. A super-sized narco submarine was found in the Colombian jungle in late 2020. Colombian cops said it was about 100 feet long, 10 feet across and able to carry 6-8 tons of dope.
In a bay in Aldan, Spain in 2020 cops watched three men clamber from the hatch of a vessel barely breaking the surface. The 66-foot craft sank as the men swam ashore, where officers nabbed two of them. Cops struggled for two days to tow their waterlogged prize to port, where they found 3 metric tons of cocaine, worth some $100 million. For the first time, the world saw a trans-Atlantic narco-submarine.
The 152 bales of cocaine cargo moved some 4,000 miles from Brazil.

A police raid on a lavish 2013 Super Bowl party exposed a huge betting ring. Platinum SB was a sophisticated sports-betting enterprise run by the HA and the Italian Mafia. $4.6m in illegal betting proceeds were seized.
