UK Gangster struck down in swift retribution

Salem Koudou, 19, was stabbed 32 times after he was chased by up to 15 people intent on bloody revenge in Brixton, south London. On 20 August 2020, Koudou and two others armed themselves and set off in a stolen VW Golf to attack gang rivals. Koudou was a member of the All ‘Bout Money gang which was in violent dispute with other gangs. They went to Brixton where they came across a birthday party for a gangster. Koudou began to chase guests with a knife. A man fell to the ground and was set upon by Koudou but managed to get away despite being stabbed.
The response was “immediate and violent”, “swift and aggressive” as party guests armed themselves, gave chase, and hacked Koudou to pieces.

Trump judge Cannon slapped down as incompetent by 3 judge appeals court

The appeals court’s opinion was unsparing toward Judge Aileen Cannon. Her court "abused its discretion."
A court panel has granted the DoJ’s request to block aspects of Judge Aileen Cannon’s ruling that delayed a criminal investigation into top secret documents seized from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. The panel ruled that Cannon, a Trump appointee, erred when she prevented federal prosecutors from using the documents as part of a criminal inquiry. “For our part, we cannot discern why Plaintiff would have an individual interest in or need for any of the one-hundred documents with classification markings,”
Trump's 'special master' has also turned out bad for Trump. Judge Raymond Dearie said Trumpers "can't have their cake and eat it too."
The decision came only an hour after arguments, showing the panel had little difficulty reaching a conclusion. Investigation into Trump's theft of state secrets will continue, subject only to his appeal of the decision to the Supreme Court.

Ukraine kicking Putin's ass - update VI

Ukrainian forces are advancing into Kherson. For more than three months, the Ukrainians targeted bridges, railways, supply dumps and command centers in and around Kherson, a strategic Black Sea port anchoring Russian-occupied Kherson Oblast. The Russian 49th Combined Army in Kherson began to buckle but held after the Kremlin rushed reinforcements from the east to the south. That thinned out Russian defenses in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders have broken through the Russian line of defense in Dudchany and advanced on Beryslav.
Russian forces have retreated from Lyman. This one day after Putin claimed it "for ever" as Russian territory. Its said Russian commanders refused to allow upwards of 5,000 soldiers to leave their hopeless position. They did it anyway.

Lyman is an important logistics hub, anchoring Russian operations in Donetsk.
On the same day Putin announced annexation, his soldiers in the town of Lyman are nearly encircled and could be wiped out to the last man. The region is among four chunks of eastern and southern Ukrainian territory that Putin declared Russian-annexed land. Even senior Russian officals acknowledge Lyman is encircled and surrounding villages have been retaken by Ukraine forces. Several thousand Russian troops are there.

If Russian fighters can't hold this line they will be running away again.
Ukraine now says its forces have retaken over 9,000 sq km (up from 6,000 km2) during a counter-offensive in eastern Ukraine. Russian forces have established a defensive line between the Oskil River and the town of Svatove. It is one of the few resupply routes Russia still controls from the Belgorod region of Russia.
Ukraine has struck over 400 Russian targets with U.S.-supplied HIMARS rocket systems. HIMARS, short for High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, is a five-ton truck that can fire multiple long-range guided rockets. The Pentagon sent a total of 26 advanced mobile launchers — 16 HIMARS and 10 older American-made M270 launchers that Britain and Germany provided. 126 howitzers along with 807,000 rounds of ammunition for them to fire was also provided. Russia's 'shit army' is wilting under the pressure of an endless supply of hugely effective western weapons and motivated fighters. This was the outcome Putin ought to have foreseen. The war in Ukraine now showns that Russia is far less militarily capable as was thought.

Trump: I could declassify documents by thinking about it - update

Trump insisted in an interview with Sean Hannity that the documents at the center of the Mar-a-Lago probe were all declassified. According to Trump evidence isn’t needed. “You’re the president of the United States, you can declassify just by saying it’s declassified, even by thinking about it.”

Cocaine importer Maxime Lenoir whacked - update

Maxime Lenoir
Widens Point du Jour Paul, 27, of Montreal, has been charged with first-degree murder in the killing of Maxime Lenoir. He is alleged to have been the getaway driver in the Aug. 23 murder. The alleged shooter, Samuel Jamahl Anthony Chand was arrested in Vancouver. He will appear at the Montreal courthouse next week. He served a long prison sentence for an attempted murder with a firearm. In 2009, Chand tried to kill a drug dealer in Surrey, near an elementary school. “There is still a chance of rehabilitation in his case,” judge Peder Gulbransen said in 2011, sentencing Chand to a decade in prison. Gulbransen passed away on June 16, 2021.
Point du Jour Paul has ties to a Montreal street gang. He pulled 28 months for setting fire to a pizzeria in Repentigny in 2013.
Cops question an eye witness to the Lenoir hit.On Tuesday, Maxime Lenoir became the sixth cocaine importer shot dead in three and a half years in the Montreal metropolitan area. Cops described him as an "influential actor" in the underworld, close to both the Italian mafia and the Hells Angels. He was described in court as a close friend of senior HA Salvatore Cazzetta. Lenoir got his dope from the Sinaloa cartel, known to be ruthless in the event of any problems with business partners.

Since 2018, Ray Kanho (Italian Mafia), Michail Michakis (Sinaloa Cartel), Ivan Alejandro Silva Sanchez (Sinaloa Cartel) and Piero Arena (Italian Mafia) have shared the same fate.

Cops searched his residence in Terrebonne, but Lenoir had not been arrested.
In June 2020, the Sûreté du Québec identified Lenoir as the head of a methamphetamine manufacturing network whose lab was dismantled in Danville.

Candidate extraordinary for West Vancouver mayor Teresa DeCotiis didn't bother showing up for a packed all candidates meeting on Sept 30.

Billy Blackledge - oldest most wanted fugitive on Interpol - revisited

Fugitive Scottish drug baron William Blackledge, now 87, has been let off by US drug cops after evading capture for more than 30 years. Blackledge was put on Interpol’s most wanted list in 2005 – which made him the world’s most wanted pensioner. Blackledge is believed to be living in Cyprus.
Blackledge defied cops to fly huge loads of cocaine to North America from Colombia for the Cali Cartel in the 1980s. The group was a rival to Pablo Escobar’s Medellin empire and once raked in $5 billion a year. Blackledge played a key role in the drug trade after moving to Fort Lauderdale in the 1970s. His crime career echoes the hit Netflix series Narcos.

Miguel Angel Rodríguez Orejuela
He met Angel Sanchez, one of the Cali Cartel’s leaders, in 1981 and delivered his first shipment of cocaine to the US the following year. After becoming a trusted ally, Blackledge was introduced in 1986 to Allan ‘The Weasel’ Ross — boss of the West End Gang. Blackledge negotiated for the Montreal group to buy large shipments of cocaine from Sanchez twice a week. The Weasel introduced Blackledge to the Hell’s Angels and used his Colombian links to connect the bikers with cocaine. RCMP believed they finally had Blackledge in their sights in 1991 when The Weasel was caught trying to smuggle ten tons of cocaine in Florida. Blackledge dodged them. Fake identities included Bill Brenstein, Bill Souper and Bobby Blackledge.
Allan ‘The Weasel’ Ross
The Cali Cartel’s co-founder Miguel Rodriguez Orejuela was arrested and extradited to the US from Colombia in 2005, triggering the group’s downfall. Decades have passed since Blackledge was last positively sighted and there are only two grainy photos of him. The DEA has given up because Blackledge has outlived their agents and witnesses. According to Interpol, Blackledge is 5ft 8in with blue eyes and red hair .

Lake Mead body in a barrel - update V

Barbara Brock believes the body in the barrel is her brother, Bobbi Eugene Shaw. Cops say the remains match his description and have taken DNA samples. Robert E. Shaw was arrested in 1976 during a strike on the Strip by the Culinary Union. This conjures Culinary Union boss Al Bramlet, who met his end in the desert in 1977 after refusing to pay a hitman for a series of bombings.

Robert Shaw had extensive mob connections and has been missing since 1977.
A missing father of a San Francisco man has been identified as one of the bodies that emerged from Lake Mead.
Twenty years ago Tom Erndt, then 10 years old, was on a nighttime family boating excursion on the Colorado River reservoir on Aug. 2, 2002 when his father, Thomas Erndt, playfully jumped into the water. Known for being a jokester, the family thought he was playing a prank when he began to struggle. "At first it was like, 'Oh, I'm drowning hahaha,' kind of thing, right?" Tom Erndt said. "And it turned into screaming and yelling, and 'I need help!'.
Thomas Erndt disappeared below the surface and he wasn't found until a month ago.
Latest to emerge from Lake Mead is a WWII Higgins landing craft. It was used to survey the Colorado River decades ago before sinking.

Human remains were found a week after the body in the barrel.

Shoes on the man were sold at Kmart in the mid 70s.
Boaters on depleted Lake Mead spotted an old rusty barrel. Inside were bones from a man killed sometime between the mid-1970s and the early 1980s. He had been shot to death and was likely dropped from a boat far from shore. There is still no DNA evidence of his identity.
The grisly find has all the makings of a gangland hit. Cops say the victim was shot in the head and crammed into the drum. The killers transported the barrel by boat several hundred yards out into the lake and dumped it in what was then 100 feet of water. The corpse still had a shirt, belt and shoes. Clothing was purchased in the mid to late 1970s at a Kmart. Three possible mob victims may be the body in the barrel. George 'Jay' Vandermark was a gambling machine cheater who robbed the mob's slot machine operation at the Stardust casino. William Crespo was a drug-runner who turned state's evidence after he got busted smuggling cocaine. He was set to testify against a mob-controlled casino company but was never seen again.
Leading candidate for the man in the barrel is Johnny Pappas, a man who owned a boat on Lake Mead and was a Las Vegas casino host. The three men together were all linked to the most powerful Las Vegas mob operation of that time – Argent Corp., a front company that ran some of Las Vegas' top gambling operations. Argent Corp. had become a major player in Las Vegas – owning the Stardust, Hacienda and Marina hotel-casinos on the Strip, and the Fremont downtown. That leads to a likely killer. One of the most notorious enforcers in mob history, Tony Spilotro. He was involved in at least 20 mob-related murders from 1975 to 1977. Each of his victims died from a shared method — one or more point-blank shots to the head from a .22 handgun, favored because the slugs enter the skull without blowing back blood and brain matter. DNA testing may take a year.
Lake Mead and Lake Powell upstream provide water to more than 40 million people. The lake’s level has dropped so much that the uppermost water intake at Lake Mead became visible.
Drought and increasing demand is emptying the lake.

Failed hitman declares ‘I’m not a rat’ from federal witness stand

Defense lawyers were not impressed with the hitman's claim that he wanted to work with children on his release from prison. 'Do you plan to kidnap those children? Are you going to help them with their homework, sir? Are you going to teach them what homework is, sir?'
Ron Cabey is testifying as part of a cooperation agreement with the feds in the murder-for-hire plot against Anthony Zottola. “I’m not a rat,” Cabey, 32, said. “I’m a cooperator.”

Cabey testified that he had been paid $10k by a leader of the Bloods gang, Bushawn Shelton. Cabey told jurors how he tried – and failed – at least six times to rub out Mafia-associate Sylvester “Sally Daz” Zottola, 71, and his other son, Salvatore, 45. Anthony, 44, is on trial with two co-defendants, Alfred Lopez and Himen Ross, who were allegedly hired by the Bloods to whack Sylvester at a Bronx McDonald’s drive thru in 2018. The court spent considerable time hearing Cabey's encylopedic criminal record.

Anthony Zottola is on trial for the hit on his father.
